Kick start your career!

I'm Janae E.  an independent composer of music for tv, film and commercials.  For many years I spent countless hours creating albums and submitting them to music libraries.  Even after the music libraries accepted my music, I had no success with getting my music placed on anything.  I'm not one to quit and after doing some research I came across licensing agencies and thought I'd give them a try.

After 5 months of being accepted to a licensing agency, I landed my first commercial placement with Famous Footwear.  Famous Footwear also asked if we could do another commercial spot. I can hardly believe it!  Since my placement, others independent artists have been asking how I did it, and this list of licensing agencies was the first step I took!

Why Licensing Agencies?

The top music licensing agencies and music supervisors work closely together.  The music supervisors trust that licensing agencies will send them music that is high in quality and fits their projects perfectly.  This means that while the standards are high, so are the chances for licensing independent music.

Take the road less traveled

Now, more than ever, is the time for us independent artists to earn a living from the music we spend so much time and effort creating.  Instead of making beats or writing songs just for artists, let's kick it up a notch and submit our music to tv and film. It's not impossible to do, and it can be very lucrative for you when collecting royalties.
